Born in Zurich in 1990, Carlo Menet grew up in a musical family. He started playing the drums at the age of eight. Ever since he fell in love with the music of Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd and Carlos Santana, the guitar became his favored instrument. Since then he has played numerous concerts with different bands such as Lugares Vivos, Dominik Blum's DB Freakalizer, the Gaptones and Private Blend. As a participant of the musical exchange project Forest Jam, he spent a total of four months in South Africa, Madagascar and Mozambique. During this time, he collaborated with local musicians and gave concerts with artists such as Madala Kunene, Mabi Thobejane, Tarang Cissokho and Matchume Zango.
Carlo Menet finished his Masters Degree in Music Pedagogy in Summer 2018 at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHDK). He's currently the lead guitarist for Moiré, Argyle Singh and his own group Sixela, founded in 2018. Apart from these projects, Carlo also gives guitar lessons. He lives in Zurich, Switzerland.
