About

Carlo Menet is a guitarist and music producer living in Zurich, Switzerland.

He is the lead guitarist for Argyle, Moiré and his own group Sixela. As a music producer, he’s working with upcoming artist Jack Zhoul amongst others.

Born in 1990, Carlo Menet grew up in a musical family. He started playing the drums at the age of eight.  Once he fell in love with the music of Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd and Carlos Santana, the guitar became his favored instrument. Ever since, he’s been combining his love for blues aesthetics and his passion for Groove. As a part of Lugares Vivos, the band of Cuban bass player and singer Nulyra, he released two records and played numerous concerts. Participating in the musical exchange project Forest Jam, he toured in South Africa, Madagascar and Mozambique, where he collaborated and gave concerts with local artists such as Madala Kunene, Mabi Thobejane, Tarang Cissokho and Matchume Zango.

Attaining his music degrees at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHDK), Carlo studied with mentors Nik Bärtsch (Ronin) and Munir Hossn.

Apart from his current projects, Carlo also works as a sideman and session guitarist for various artists and gives guitar lessons.
